Dupe to Unicorn PeePee: Max Factor Fantasy Fire (Picture heavy)

YES. I got the dupe for Clarins 230, Max Factor Fantasy Fire. I got it on eBay for about $16. How lucky am I? It's a tiny bottle of pure awesomeness. Max Factor Fantasy Fire is this sheer indigo with a really pretty magenta/orange/gold/copper shimmer. Even though Clarins 230 is being sold for $100 on eBay, I really prefer Fantasy Fire. Maybe because I like indigo, but I think it's worth the price. I think it just became my favorite polish from my collection!

Here are some bottle pictures:

You can definitely see the fiery copper color just chillin on the gorgeous indigo.

I layered my mani look with 2 other colors so that I can use least amount of my precious Fantasy Fire as much as possible. I used Essie Perky Purple, a matte neon purple (almost like magenta), and Barry M Indigo. All my nails except for my left ring finger nail are Essie Perky Purple. My left ring nail is Barry M Indigo.

It took me 2 coats of Essie Perky Purple to get a full coverage, and it was definitely more difficult to put on a flawless coat because this polish is matte and it dries super fast. I put on 1 coat of Fantasy Fire on each nail.

These pictures do not do justice. It's such a beautiful polish, and I'm so excited to check it out under the sunlight! I've already gotten so many compliments on it and been asked multiple times where to get this polish. If you can find one on eBay for a good price (under $20) don't hesitate to buy it--you won't regret it. It will probably be one of your best splurges on a nail polish.

I want a ring from Tiffanys: Tiffany Diamond Nails

I've been online eye-shopping (window shopping) and I have been on the Tiffany website so many times for the past 3 days. I am obsessed with their infinity ring! I really want one. REALLY REALLY want one. I think it's every girl's fantasy to receive jewelries from Tiffany's every christmas and birthday from their husbands.

This is the baby I'm in love with:
It's $2,300...UGH I just love it so much!!! I want it on my finger NOWW

Okay, enough whining. My friend Susanna was visiting me right when I was super inspired by the Tiffany color and the lovely ring above. I didn't really want to do my nails this color because I recently painted my toes China Glaze Aquadelic, so I decided I'd paint Susanna's nails.

When I visited SoCal over Spring break, Susanna took me to a nail supply store and I picked up some awesome silver diamond shaped glitter. This was the perfect occasion to debut my glitter skills that I will be whipping out more often in the future (;

Normal room lighting:

I just made X's with the diamond glitters on her ring fingers. It's supposed to make up for the Tiffany rings that we really want. Isn't the color shown in the pictures above look exactly like the Tiffany boxes? I felt like it was shown lighter in shade in my Tiffany Pedi post.

With Flash:
WOAH Aquadelic looks like Essie's Something Blue in this picture, which is weird. I wouldn't expect a minty blue to look light baby blue just because of a flash.

Future husband, if you're seeing this, I'd really appreciate it if my gifts were from Tiffany's!

Spring es Aqui: Green and Blue Mani

I've noticed that now in America gradient nails are the "in" thing; it's actually been very popular in Korea for about 7 years now. And in Korea, glitter tips, which have been popular in the US for a few years, are the "in" thing to do on your nails. I just find it so interesting how trends spread all over the world. It's a giant exchange of trendy tips! Anyway, I got this is kind of like a mix of the gradient nails and glitter tips mixed together, but in spring colors!

This look is done with Opi Did it on 'em from the Nicki Minaj Collection and Sephora Opi Indi-go with the Flow.

Opi Did it on 'em is a lime green polish and it's pretty opaque. For some nails, I had to put on 2 coats, for others, 1 did the job. Sephora Opi Indi-go with the Flow is a very pretty periwinkle glitter top coat. I have never seen a periwinkle colored glitter polish, so I gladly added this to my collection.

Normal room light:

With Flash:

Did it on 'em is such a weird polish. Sometimes it will look super green, sometimes yellow, and other times, it looks like a neon color.

I received tons of compliments on this look and it encouraged me to go and buy some more glitter top coats! And so I shall.

Opi DS Desire

Opi DS Collection is my favorite Opi collection of all, and I'd say DS Desire is one of my top 3. It's this crazy gorgeous brown linear holographic polish that'll make any holo lovers drool! I know brown is a bit of a wintery/fall color, but lately it's been a bit chilly here in Santa Cruz, so I felt like putting on some toasty looking polish will warm me up!

Under room light:
Do you see all that holographic effect even though it's under a dim room light?!

With flash:

If you've noticed, I put on some glitter on my ring finger.

Anyways, I know it's not a lot of pictures, but that's because I gave up on taking them. These photos don't do justice for this polish. I'd say DS Desire is probably top 3 most holographic polish out of the Opi Designer Series Collection, but unfortunately, this awesomeness is discontinued. If you can find it on eBay, GET IT (if you can).

Tiffany Blue Pedi

Hello, I haven't been on for a while! Today, I'm back with a really simple Tiffany Blue Pedi that's perfect for the summer. Today's post will be a quick one, but I have a few more posts coming up.

So this look is done with China Glaze Aquadelic, which is probably the closest Tiffany Blue, and OPI's Pirouette My Whistle from the OPI NYC Ballet Collection.

A closer shot of the polishes:

China Glaze Aquadelic is really opaque compared to other China Glaze polishes. It only took me one coat to cover everything. Good job, China Glaze!

In natural sunlight:

In just normal room light:

I got so many compliments on this pedi and it was super easy to do. This look took me just one coat of
Aquadelic and one coat of Pirouette My Whistle.

Frozen Flame on Barry M Indigo

Today must be my lucky day because Barry M Indigo finally arrived!!! For those of you who do not know what color Barry M's Indigo is, it's a beautiful blurple color and I'm lovin it! Rainbow Honey's Frozen Flame arrived too! It's a stunning glitter pot with lots of colorful stringy glitters.

Barry M Indigo:
It took me about 3 coats of Barry M Indigo to get an opaque coverage. I guess I had too high of a hope from Barry M, but I'm still satisfied with the color. I can't find any other color like it! I'd give it about 4 stars and I'd definitely buy it again if I had to.

Rainbow Honey Frozen Flame:
I'm obsessed with this polish! Lot's of glitters and I really can't find anything like this. Consistency is awesome and the glitters do not clutter into one big blob like many other glitter polishes. This deserves 5 Stars!

Seche Vite
I don't have an individual picture for my baby Seche Vite. I got it for free when I went to SoCal for Spring Break. It's an awesome possum top coat. It makes my nails look unbelievably glossy like I've gotten my nails professionally done! It's so much better than Sally Hansen's Mega Shine...I need to go get some more of this shit...ASAP

Here are some shots I took hastily before I headed to class, but you can already see that the corner of my index finger chipped...UGH I hate chipped nails. But isn't this absolutely beautiful? It looks like fireworks in the warm summer night sky.

The Battle of the Blue Holos: Ombre Nails (Picture Heavy)

I'm so sorry for the lack of posts for the past month or so. I've just been busy with my classes.

Today, I'm here with 5 bluish green holos from 5 different companies:
OPI, Glitter Gal, A England, HITS, and China Glaze.

With Flash

Under natural sunlight

Under normal light

Thumb: OPI DS Fantasy (Dark blue holo)
OPI DS Fantasy isn't as holographic as some of the other polishes that I used for this look, but I still like the color and application was the best out of all. No streaks and everything covered in 2 coats. Since the OPI DS series are discontinued it is hard to find and expensive. Sometimes they have it on eBay for sale, so if you want DS Fantasy, keep looking on eBay. It's a beautiful deep blue holo. I'd recommend it. It's one of my favorite polishes that I own!

Pointer Finger: Glitter Gal Lizard Belly (Dark Green Holo)
I'd say that Glitter Gal Lizard Belly has the best holographic effect out of the five that I put on. Application was easy and I love the deep forest green. Sometimes it will look black and sometimes it looks like really dark green. I love it! It's such a mysterious color and I get complimented on it quite often. I got mine from Llarowe for $14. These sell out really fast, so if you see some in stock, you better order them ASAP! Again, one of my favorite polishes. I love this one even more than OPI DS Fantasy.

Middle Finger: A England St. George (Emerald-y Teal Holo)
When I first ordered this, I regretted it because I thought it be similar to Glitter Gal Lizard Belly, but when I received them, I saw that they were nothing alike. As you can tell from the pictures, Lizard Belly looks almost black most of the time and St. George looks emerald green. The holographic-ness of St. George is very similar to OPI DS Fantasy. It doesn't have the rainbow effect, but it has a blueish green holo-y shimmer to it. It's a beautiful color and I don't know of any polishes that have a similar color to it. The consistency was good (2 coats) and, overall, it's a pretty color, not super holographic, but still got a pretty shimmer.

Ring Finger: HITS No Olimpo Hera (Teal Holo more green)
There's really not much to say about this one. It's gorgeous and has a great rainbow-effect holo to it. It's a better holo-ed version of China Glaze Techno Teal (a dupe of China Glaze OMG) leaning more towards green. I like it, but I don't know if I like it enough to buy it again. It was really streaky for me and 4 coats barely covers everything.

Pinky Finger: China Glaze Techno Teal (Teal Holo more blue)
I bought this one as a dupe for China Glaze OMG. It's pretty, but it doesn't look glossy without a top coat. I wouldn't buy this again, but it goes well with the colors above!

I've bought a lot of new polishes so look out for the swatches!
